Feb. 23,2010  Susie, Bobbi, Dorothy  Discussed kdgn. CGI problem, frequency of offering problems, and problem types to be offered.
Mar. 23, 2010  Susie, Bobbi, Dorothy  Discussed 4th graders problem solving at different ability levels. Shared kgn development with number sense. Talked about first grade solution strategies.
April 20, 2010  Susie, Bobbi, Dorothy  1st grade is doing a daily CGI lesson as part of the opening.  Many children are getting proficient.  Kdgn. student teacher from UNI was familiar with CGI from a class.  Susie modeled lessons and the student teacher continued using CGI with students.  Discussion was held about how to move students from one strategy to another more efficient one.  Teachers have been working on helping students who draw organize their drawings for efficiency.

April 27, 2010  Bobbi DeLong,Susie Tjaden ,Janet Swanson, Dorothy Sparks Kdgn. shared work developing base ten and various stragies the children used. 1st grade shared a manipulative pattern block activity used for solving addition problems with 2 or 3 addends and how the children used different solution strategies. 5th grade shared strategies used to solve problems involving fractions. Another 5th grade class worked with base ten developing problems.
